It seems unbelievable that I will be moving into my 18th year here in Colfax. After teaching first grade for 12 years and seeing my first group of Colfax first graders graduate, I requested to move to an opening that occurred in second grade and I love it! It is so much fun to go into work each day and be welcomed with smiles and excitement for learning.
I grew up on a farm on the Camas Prairie not far from Cottonwood, Idaho. I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Idaho, and after teaching two years in California, I moved to Kent, Washington. I worked as a Special Ed. Teacher and Fourth grade teacher for ten years there. During that time, I received my Masters at the University of Washington. I was thrilled to begin working here in the Colfax School District, with its strong commitment to students and community. I'm looking forward to many more years!
