Chapter exams will be given at the conclusion of each chapter.

Labs will be performed for each major topic, when the lab best fits into the school schedule.

Lab topics are:  Metric Review, Density of Pennies, Specific heat, Wave/particle view of H atom, Flame Tests, Periodic Table, the Formula of a Hydrate, Types of Reactions, “s” before “d”; DEMO—Na in water, Burn Mg, Conductivity;  Alloys of metals, Polarity and Molecular Shape, Complex Ions, DEMO--Boiling “cold” water; Graham’s Law, Acid-Base Titration, pH, Formation of an Ester.
